I didn’t hate this one, but I think I have a much higher tolerance level for indies/low budgets. Sure, the acting and some of the dialogue was beyond amateurish, but for a $70k Kickstarter budget, I think it had some well-done moments. I love seeing a director and crew actually stretch to create real tension and mood with limited tools – when it works, it can be incredibly successful.
I agree that this had some great parts to it. I thought the way they executed the scares was perfect. That is how I want my scares in my horror. They were slight but effective and they didn’t have to use loud noises to make us jump, which I think takes some talentThere is quite a bit of potential here and I hope Flanagan gets another shot at horror. Thanks for watching!
